About Teddy
Teddy Childers has held senior positions with multiple commercial real estate investment firms. His successful career spans 20 years and billions of dollars of acquisition and investment management experience across the major real estate sectors.
As a senior member of the National Office Asset Management division at USAA Real Estate Company from 2008 to 2020, he was responsible for the operations and performance of a $2.5 billion portfolio of institutional assets across the country. He has negotiated millions of square feet of lease transactions and led asset dispositions exceeding $1 billion in value.
In 2020, Teddy joined Capital Commercial Investments in Austin, where he served as Head of Asset Management. He successfully built and managed a team which improved operational efficiency and increased coordination with other company departments. His efforts helped the company to successfully navigate its significant portfolio growth from $500 million to $2.5 billion in AUM.
Teddy served as Senior Vice President of Development & Brokerage at REOC Partners in San Antonio, TX from 2023 to 2025. He was responsible for identifying, coordinating and implementing the company’s development and project management activities to ensure that each is successfully completed on-time and on-budget while achieving the highest level of quality and assuring the clients’ best interests are served. Secondarily, to assist in identifying, coordinating and closing brokerage transactions for 3rd party clients and REOC-led joint ventures.
Most recently before relocating back to San Antonio in late 2026, Teddy was the Director of Industrial Asset Management at The Hanover Company in Houston, TX. His primary role was overseeing leasing and operations for a $1+billion development pipeline totaling 3.5 million SF across the US with multiple intuitional investment partners.
